Who We Help
No two kids are the same—and that’s exactly why we love what we do.
Every Child, Every Journey.
Whether your child has a formal diagnosis, you're in the middle of an assessment process, or you've just noticed something different and want to chat, we’re here to support you. At Pitter Patter Physio, our paediatric physiotherapy is designed for kids of all ages, abilities, and needs—because every child deserves care that’s as unique as they are. There’s no “wrong reason” to reach out, just a team ready to help, guide, and cheer you on.
We Often Work With…
We support kids with a wide range of abilities, challenges, and needs—helping them grow, move, and explore the world with confidence. Here are some of the areas we commonly support:
-
When milestones like sitting, crawling, or walking take a little longer, we use fun, play-based therapy to build strength, coordination, and confidence—helping kids move at their own pace.
-
Whether a child has had a brain injury, stroke, or a rare genetic condition, we use tried and true therapies to help them strengthen movement patterns, improve function, and develop new skills.
-
We support children with a range of rare genetic conditions, including Rett syndrome, Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Propionic Acidemia, STXBP1, KCNT1, MADD, TUBB2, and Dwarfism. Our therapy focuses on maximising mobility, function, and participation in a way that suits each child's abilities and needs—helping them move, play, and interact with.
-
Babies born early sometimes need extra support to build strength and coordination. Our gentle, hands-on approach helps little ones develop the movement skills they need as they grow.
-
Every child with CP has their own strengths and challenges, so we tailor therapy to their needs, using techniques like CME, functional movement training, and electrical stimulation to improve mobility, independence, and participation in daily life.
-
We support kids with Down syndrome in building core strength, balance, and coordination through playful and engaging therapy that encourages independence and movement in a way that works for them.
-
Movement is a powerful way for kids to connect with their bodies and the world. We use a sensory-friendly approach, focusing on coordination, motor planning, and confidence in movement, all in a way that feels safe and fun.
-
If movement feels tricky or uncoordinated, we use fun and targeted activities to help kids improve balance, coordination, and body awareness so they can move more easily and confidently.
-
Some kids need extra support to develop muscle strength and endurance. We use movement, games, and specialised techniques to help build tone and stability in a fun, engaging way.
-
If your child struggles with balance, trips often, or has difficulty keeping up with peers, we work on strength, stability, and coordination to help them move with confidence.
-
When little bodies need to heal, we provide hands-on support and a guided therapy plan to help regain strength, function, and confidence—getting them back to doing what they love.
