Celebrating Clare: First in Australia to Achieve CME Level 3 Certification
We’re thrilled to share an exciting milestone at Pitter Patter Physio: Clare MacFarlane, our Lead Therapist, has become the first person in Australia to be awarded the Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME) Level 3 certification. This achievement recognises Clare’s dedication, skill, and years of advanced clinical practice in paediatric physiotherapy — and it means families who come to Pitter Patter Physio benefit from some of the most experienced CME expertise in the country.
What is CME Level 3 — and why does it matter?
Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME) is a highly specialised therapy approach designed to promote movement and independence in babies and children with motor delays or neurological conditions. It’s active, engaging, and focuses on building core strength, balance, and postural control through dynamic exercises that challenge the child’s nervous system to respond.
Level 3 certification is the highest attainable qualification in CME. To reach it, Clare completed:
Hundreds of hours of intensive, hands-on training
Advanced clinical practice with children across a wide range of developmental challenges
Rigorous assessment of her expertise and outcomes
What this means for families at Pitter Patter Physio
For parents and carers, this milestone means your child is in incredibly capable hands. Clare’s advanced training allows her to:
Tailor CME strategies with deep clinical insight
Work confidently with complex cases
Adapt sessions in real-time to get the most from each child’s abilities
Whether your child is just starting to sit, taking early steps, or facing more significant movement challenges, you can trust that Clare brings not only experience, but world-class credentials to every session.
Leading CME in Australia
Clare’s achievement also strengthens Pitter Patter Physio’s role as a leading CME provider in Australia. Her work has helped:
Grow the CME community nationally
Host CME training for other professionals
Build awareness of innovative paediatric therapy options for Australian families
We’re proud to support and expand access to CME — so more children can benefit from its life-changing impact.
From the CME International Community
We’re honoured to share this message from Adrian Stupinean (CME Nivel 4) and the CME International Center Chile:
“Our deepest gratitude to Clare and the entire team at Pitter Patter Physio for their tireless work in organising CME courses and supporting the CME community in Australia. Your passion and commitment have helped build a strong, vibrant foundation for therapists and families across the region.”
