Is a referral needed to attend physiotherapy treatment at Pitter Patter Physio?

Physiotherapists are first contact practitioners, therefore no referrals are needed!

If you’re eligible, you can use your chronic disease management plan (CDMP) from your GP, in which case you’ll require a letter from them. Medicare subsidises up to 5 physiotherapy sessions per year. Feel free to contact us to discuss your options.


How do I arrange an appointment for physiotherapy treatment?

Options:

  1. Click the Make an Enquiry button below and fill out the necessary sections. We will personally email and / or call you to answer your questions.

  2. Send us a text message (0422 346 436) or email (welcome@pitterpatterphysio.com) with your enquiry.

  3. Complete the appropriate intake form link ( NDIS Intake form, Non-NDIS Intake Form).

  4. Send us a message on Instagram or Facebook.


What are my physiotherapy treatment payment options?

If you have NDIS funding, we accept self and plan managed payments. An invoice will be sent to you at the end of each week. We accept bank transfer or cash and can provide a receipt if claiming on private health.


What can I expect with an initial consultation and how long are the sessions?

To ensure that your child’s initial consultation will comprise of more hands on assessment therapy:

  1. Complete the appropriate intake form link ( NDIS Intake form, Non-NDIS Intake Form).

  2. Compile any reports you may have and send the reports to welcome@pitterpatterphysio.com.

Your initial session will comprise of your therapist discussing your child and the concerns or reasons you have come to Pitter Patter Physio, what goals you have from therapy and any other questions. From here, your therapist will perform the relevant assessments (which a lot of the time are fun!) and being to provide some therapy. You can expect your first session to be between 30 - 50 minutes (depending on your child’s reason for attending). You may even be given some home exercises! Subsequent sessions will be either 30 or 50 minutes but your therapist will discuss this with you in the session. You will also be advised as to the recommended frequency of sessions.


What should my child wear to a physiotherapy treatment session?

Your child should wear something comfortable with shoes (where applicable). Dresses, skirts or restrictive clothing are not appropriate.
